YOUR QUESTIONS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSI’m a Beginner, where do I start?
If you’re free of injury you are welcome to join Reformer: Beginner or Mat: Pilates Fundamentals. These classes are a great place to start if you are brand new to Pilates or the Reformer, or are wanting to refresh your practice. If you’d like to join our Equipment Pilates Circuit class at the Queen Square studio, you first need to have attended a 1:1 session. This is so we can ensure you are confident on each piece of Pilates equipment, as you will be working more independently under the expert guidance of one of our expert teachers. If you are looking to build a little more confidence before starting classes, we recommend booking a 1:1 session. You can read our full guide to class levels and types here. Make sure to check out our intro offers, which are the perfect way to test the waters of group and 1:1 sessions before signing up to memberships or passes. Unsure of where to start? Book a free consultation call and we can help guide you to create a plan tailored to your body and needs. I am working through an injury or medical condition, can I do Pilates?
Pilates is a fantastic way to work through any rehab needs, especially in the way we teach it. Since we opened, we have worked with people with a wide range of needs, and it always amazes us the power of movement to heal and support our body and mind. We do ask that if you’ve had surgery, have a medical condition, or are currently in pain, to first attend a 1:1 session with us. This is so we can spend time with you, explore your needs in detail, and assess your posture and movement. Then we can make recommendations moving forwards, be that more 1:1s or identify which group classes will suit you best. If you would like some advice on the best place to start, drop us an email to speak to one of our team at [email protected] CAN I PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE INTRO OFFER?
Everyone is welcome to purchase one intro offer. Once you have used your intro offer, the best value going forwards is to join us on a membership, where you’ll receive significant savings and lots of member perks! Remember to book your free wellbeing check-in call with the team during your intro offer to discuss your goals and needs, and we will happily provide guidance to help shape the best plan for you moving forwards. WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO A CLASS
We are a fully equipped studio with mats and props, and have everything covered for you. But if you would like to bring your own mat you are welcome to. If you have any questions on what to expect from our classes or 1:1 sessions, drop us an email to speak to one of our team at [email protected] Do I need to wear socks or trainers?
We kindly ask for hygiene reasons that you wear socks, ideally grippy socks. We sell a wide range of these at the studio for both men and women. Trainers are not needed for any of our classes. Can I get changed at the studio?
We have a small changing area in our Queen Square studio, and we have showers and dedicated changing rooms in our Bishopston studio. You can read about our full studio facilities here Can I join your classes via my MoveGB / CLASS PASS / GYM PASS?
We are no longer part of MoveGB but many of our classes are on ClassPass and Gym Pass. IS THERE PARKING?
Our studios have bike and car parking within close distance to both studios. You can see full details here What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 48-hour cancellation policy for 1:1 sessions and a 24-hour cancellation policy for group classes. If notice is given after this period your class or 1:1 session will be charged and counted as normal. If you give notice before the cancellation period your session won’t be counted and can be rearranged to another time. If you are feeling unwell and showing any symptoms of Covid-19, contact us as soon as possible to cancel your sessions. We will not be able to see any clients who are showing signs of Covid-19, and require 12-hours cancellation notice. A positive PCR result will also need to be provided. Refer to our terms and conditions for full details. WHAT IS YOUR WAITLIST POLICY?
If a class is full you will be given the option to join the waitlist. Once you are registered on the waitlist, keep an eye on your inbox where you will be notified via email if you secure a spot. Make sure to accept or decline your space. The system allows 4-hours for you to confirm your spot before then offering it to the next person on the waitlist. DO YOU RUN ANY TEACHER TRAINING?
