ABOUT REFORMER PILATES
Brand new for 2020, our Bishopston studio hosts nine Reformers to help take your movement practice to a whole new level.
The Pilates Reformer (which looks like a bed with springs, ropes and pulleys) is a traditional piece of Pilates equipment designed to provide an elevated focus on stretching out your muscles, improving form and developing strength and endurance through the entire body.
Whether you are brand new to Reformer, have tried a few classes already or are an experienced mover, we have designed a range of Reformer classes suitable for all abilities.

Group sessions of up to 9, with a range of classes designed with different degrees of difficulty in mind, ensuring you’re suitably challenged but never over-stretched.
PILATES REFORMER: FUNDAMENTALS
Refresh, align & condition.
We believe in the importance of building a solid foundation and have designed this class so that you can achieve proper alignment, technique and enjoy a more mindful Reformer practice. Moving through the foundations of Reformer Pilates, this level 1 class is perfect for anyone wanting to really focus on mastering each movement, whilst getting a full-body workout that will increase flexibility and build deep strength and stability.
Our Fundamentals class are are open to all abilities, new and experienced, but if you are brand new to reformer, want to refresh your practice or are looking to build a little more confidence before starting classes, we recommend booking onto one of our Reformer Beginner classes or a 1:1 session.
PILATES REFORMER: JUMP & TONE ••
Invigorate, condition & shape
Up the tempo and burn some calories with our cardio-driven, whole body workout.
This level 2 class is a more intense class, blending form and function with some cardio intensity. Reformer Jump utilises the spring-loaded reformer and jump board to focus on strength, power and precision. Greater resistance and higher reps will challenge your fitness levels and leave you feeling invigorated (and perhaps a little sweaty!).
PILATES REFORMER: LEARN & LENGTHEN *
Learn, strengthen & build confidence
A slower paced class, our Beginners Fundamentals class is perfect for those new (or newish) to Reformer Pilates, providing a solid introduction to the foundations of Reformer and correct technique whilst providing you with a full-body workout.
We will begin to mobilise your joints, start to challenge the strength of your muscles as well as teaching you the strategies needed to master movement with ease.
Every Monday 8pm.
PILATES REFORMER: SLOW & STRONG o
Gently strengthen your foundations
This slower-paced class is perfect for those working through injuries, rehabilitation or conditions such as osteoporosis and osteopenia where a little more care and thought is needed to ensure your body can grow in strength whilst staying fully supported.
This class is perfect for anyone who feels they have fallen out of touch with their bodies, wants to keep their body moving, strong and stable for life.
In this class you will work on creating efficient patterns of movement so that you can build strength and suppleness safely.
Suitable for all levels.
PILATES REFORMER: POST NATAL MUM & BABY o
Gently condition & re-strengthen your foundations
This slower-paced class is perfect for those who are getting back into exercise post birth, where a little more care and thought is needed to ensure your body can grow in strength whilst staying fully supported.
A great way to safely re-build your abdominal wall. focusing on re-connecting the deeper core in a safe, comfortable and invigorating environment for you and your new born.
In this class you will work on creating efficient patterns of movement, rehabilitate your deep core and lengthen the full body to help support good posture and alignment.
Babies up to 12 months welcome! Open to those who are 6+ weeks (12+ for c-section).
