Rachel is a fully qualified equipment and mat work Pilates instructor having completed extensive training with the Physiotherapy and Pilates Rehabilitation Centre in affiliation with Alan Herdman Pilates a world leading Pilates training provider.
Having worked with clients with complex needs such as neurological conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and Stroke rehabilitation, she has seen the huge benefits of the Pilates method and the positive effects that it has on both the mind and body. Rachel also has a particular interest in Pilates for Arthritis, having used Pilates to rehabilitate herself through numerous Rheumatoid Arthritis flares and subsequent pain, stiffness and mobility issues. She integrates her knowledge and experience of inflammatory and degenerative joint conditions with her understanding of movement and the human body to produce highly effective and appropriate Pilates programmes. |
